As we observe National HIV/AIDS Awareness Month and Black History Month this February, we are reminded that our fight is not just for access to life-saving medicines or groundbreaking policies—it’s for the rights, freedom, and dignity of every person, regardless of their HIV status. This month, AIDS United’s staff and board of trustees call on advocates, partners, and members to be anchored in the theme: Reigniting, Sustaining, and Strengthening Communities and Coalitions for the Fight of Our Lives.
At AIDS United, our mission to end the HIV epidemic in the U.S. is rooted in the principle “nothing about us without us.” We know that communities carry both struggle and resilience, and our work is dedicated to ensuring that every voice, including those from Black communities, LGBTQ individuals, and other marginalized groups, is heard and empowered.
At a time when health equity and human rights are under threat, our role as a national leader in building power and coalitions has never been more critical. From grassroots advocates to national social justice leaders, our initiatives—such as our 60-member Public Policy Council and AIDSWatch, the nation’s longest-standing federal HIV advocacy gathering, are uniting voices across racial, geographic, and political divides to demand change.
Today, we invite you to stand with us. Your support is vital to reigniting hope in communities nationwide, sustaining the momentum of our advocacy efforts, and strengthening the coalitions that drive lasting impact. With your generous donation, we can continue to fight at both federal and state levels—expanding access to critical care, challenging systemic inequities, and ensuring that every person’s dignity is upheld.
A meaningful contribution that helps fuels our work:
$50 can help mobilize grassroots advocates to meet with lawmakers at AIDSWatch.
$100 supports the development of policy briefs and advocacy resources to educate lawmakers.
$250+ strengthens coalition-building efforts that drive systemic change.
Please join us in the fight for our lives. Donate today and help us build a future where every community thrives, every voice is empowered, and the epidemic finally ends.
