AIDSWatch 2026
AIDSWatch is the largest constituent-driven HIV federal advocacy event in the country. For 33 years, we’ve brought together thousands of HIV advocates, leaders and allies — who represent a community of 1.3 million people living with HIV in the United States — to share their stories with Congress and to advocate for policies, programs and funding to end the HIV epidemic. We are thrilled to once again welcome you back to Washington, D.C., March 16 – March 18, 2026.
The theme of this year’s AIDSWatch is Defending Progress, Demanding Justice. As we encounter increased political attacks that threaten to dismantle decades of progress at the local, state, federal, and global levels, we must reflect on what our movements’ have won and demand what we are still owed. At AIDSWatch 2026, we will discuss evolving threats, lessons learned, and movement building strategies, and then, we will bring our concerns directly to Congress on Capitol Hill.

With recognition from HIV advocates across the country that efforts to end the HIV epidemic cannot be achieved through federal action alone, AIDS United launched AIDSWatch@Home.
AIDSWatch@Home are state-based policy trainings and community advocacy institutes grounded in the knowledge that state and local advocacy is a remarkably powerful and underutilized tool. Through this grant, AIDS United seeks to identify organizations to implement AIDSWatch@Home branded events in at least eight different states.
